GGG-1223 : Mossberg 500 Ambidextrous Front Sling Attachment

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING:
If your Mossberg 500 shotgun has a removable magazine tube end cap that is not attached to the barrel, you need to purchase one of the GG&G Sling Attachments manufactured for the Mossberg 590 versus one for the Mossberg 500. The Mossberg factory for an unknown reason installed 590 parts on some 500's. Your choices are the Mossberg 590 Front Sling Attachment GGG-1084-2, Mossberg 590 QD Front Sling Attachment GGG-1428, Mossberg 590 Looped Front Sling Attachment GGG-1434, Mossberg 590 Double Looped Front Sling Attachment GGG-1432.

FRONT SLING ATTACHMENT SPECIFICATIONS:

• Compact & easy to install. The GG&G Mossberg 500 Front Sling Attachment easily installs by removing the barrel and star washer, sliding the GG&G sling adapter on top of the barrel extension, reinstall the barrel and tighten the attachment screw through the new sling attachment.
• Designed and manufactured to withstand the rigors associated with professional use.
• The Mossberg 500 Front Sling Attachment solidly mounts behind the barrel extension and retaining bolt.
• Also fits Mossberg Maverick 88, 12 gauge shotguns.
• A ball bearing detent on the 500 Front Sling Attachment has a built in floating hardened steel ball that aides in keeping the extended magazine tube from backing off under recoil.
• Ambidextrous.
• The 500 Front Sling Attachment provides the preferred front side sling mounting position for 1 1/4" slings.
• All edges have been de-horned and rounded for the shooters safety.
• Material: Manufactured from tough AS-35 Geneva steel.

• The Mossberg 500 Rear Sling Attachment will not fit the Blackhawk Knoxx Spec-Ops Recoil
• Compensating Stock.
• The Mossberg 500 Rear Sling Attachment mounts just behind the receiver.
• The 500 Rear Sling Attachment provides the preferred rear side sling mounting position for 1 1/4" slings.
• This Rear Sling Attachment can be used with a two point sling set up or as a single point sling attachment.
• When used as a Single Point Sling Attachment, it allows the operator to mount the weapon on either the primary or offside shoulder. As a result, during dynamic entries it becomes easier to "cut the pie" at doorways and move around corners, whether they are on the right side or left side, without telegraphing the operator's position. In addition, slings attached to a single point mount work especially well when operators are deployed wearing body armor or are involved in breaching operations.
